Ingrid, thank you for taking us on this great tour of Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge! When we got to the Sandpiper Trail, I was mesmerized. Walking the boardwalk through the willows and alders I can just imagine the warblers singing as they migrate through. I did have to chuckle at the Keel-billed Toucan behind the palm tree in the interpretive sign "Thickets are a Magnet for Migrants!" I didn't see that bird listed on Grays Harbor Audubon's bird list.

You got some beautiful shots of the shorebird flocks. I absolutely LOVE the photo of the blurred wings with the grounded birds in focus in the middle of the image. I hope everyone clicks that photo to see the full sized image. It's magnificent!

I 'm glad you got out to Ocean Shores. Even though you missed out on the hot coffee, the shorebirds with the tumultuous ocean in the background is an impressive sight. Of course, the Long-tailed Weasel had to be the highlight of this day? It would be a lifer for me!

Loved that weasel shot especially, Ingrid. In my experience they're very difficult to find and photograph and to catch it with the youngster in the mouth is extra-special. Neat!

I have purchased the federal duck stamp for years as a way to support habitat conservation; however, I have hoped a similar stamp would become available for purchase by birders and others who did not want to be lumped with hunters. Looking forward to the purchase of my first wildlife conservation stamp!
